Here's a piece I wrote about the impact the legendary Toni Morrison had on me as an author and editor - honoured that gal-dem.com asked me to write it.
In November last year, it was fantastic to appear on the panel for Hachette Books' Flipping the Narrative event, in association with the Thrive Netowrk at the end of Black History Month. It was great to be alongside esteemed authors Patrice Lawrence & Dean Atta, and the panel was chaired by the phenomenal Sharmaine Lovegrove!
Last September I had the pleasure of being asked to write a short story for Stylist Magazine - check it out!

I am beyond thrilled to have been featured in one of my favourite online magazines – the incredible gal-dem Magazine! Very well worth a read, their wonderful journalist Varaidzo captured so many of my intentions for The Nearness of You. Check it out!!
Here are some pix from the recent launch for THE NEARNESS OF YOU at Picturehouse Central in London town. Excited (and not gonna lie, a touch freaked out) to say that I'll be participating in the panel "What does liberation look like?" at the first ever Bare Lit festival, which celebrates the work of Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic (BAME) writers.
The event takes place at The Free Word Centre in Farringdon, London, on Saturday 27th February. Come and see me attempt to hold my own with my esteemed fellow panelists!
